I agree with you Andy regarding AI. I have found that I was trusting it a bit to much for the personal use that I use it for. Felt like I was outsourcing too many things. Now I am careful with what I want it to do.

AI given clear boundaries and a clear job does AMAZING work. Without those, it's just a black box thats heavily abstracted and can break spectacularly sometimes lol. I feel like I've seen an uptick in the amount of "Uh Oh.... AI ran rm -rf against my production server"... RIP. Best for everyone, in my opinion, to treat AI with a bit of skepticism and not trust it completely until you've tested a particular workflow / new script / advice...etc heavily and you're fairly confident nothing catastrophic is going to happen.

Fun read, but makes me wonder… are we letting AI become the boss without even noticing?

That seems to be the million dollar question doesn’t it? I wonder that as well. I’m still on the side of thinking that AI is simply another tool for all of us to use, but we’re constantly hearing of cases where people are increasingly using AI for everything they can. Over time I can see that creating overdependence with certain personality types. Time will tell I suppose.

I agree Andy, AI as a tool makes sense but balance is key. Let's connect and share more insights!
